2.0: A Completely New Way to Search Frames
Introduction To This Update
Our team has been hard at work to bring you a completely new way to search for frames. With this update, we've overhauled our design and dramatically improved our search capabilities, making it easier than ever to find the inspiration you need for your next project. In this article, we'll take a closer look at what's new in the update and show you how to get the most out of the new features…
A Brand New Design, Featuring Dark Mode
Our latest update makes finding inspiration easier and faster than ever before. We've completely overhauled our design to make it more intuitive and user-friendly, so you can find what you need in no time.
The new design features a larger grid of frames, allowing you to quickly scan through hundreds of them in a single search. When you find a frame you're interested in, our new on-frame icons let you view the title, see similar frames, or save the frame to a Set.
In addition, our new dark mode design makes browsing for inspiration easier on the eyes at night or in low-light conditions. If you prefer light mode, you can still choose to use the regular design.
A Remarkable Search Application, Made with Filmmakers In Mind:
Our search has been rebuilt from the ground up. Our team likes to say "you can search whatever you want, however you want." So whether you're looking for something incredibly specific, like Anton Chigurh standing in a doorway. Or something more abstract; inspired by No Country for Old Men. You can search specific locations, famous artists, actors, camera angles, film styles, time periods, or whatever else you can dream up.
Here are a few of our favorite searches:
- an empty room
- someone doing yoga with a laptop
- inspired by artist James Turrell
- a subway from the future
- Wes Anderson styled product photography
- boardroom meeting
- film noir detective
- inspired by Sebastião Salgado
- b&w contemporary photography
- inspired by Martin Parr
- water droplet
Powerful, Film-Specific, Filtering
We have added new advanced filtering options to help you narrow down your search and find exactly what you need.
Our color selector enables you to find inspiration based on the colors in your project. With our latest update, you can choose from a wider range of colors, including any specific HEX code. Additionally, our new sliders allow you to find inspiration based on the specific level of saturation, temperature, and contrast you need.
Our new safe-search filter lets you find inspiration without worrying about sexual explicit or graphic content. Whether you are looking for inspiration for a family-friendly project or you are not interested in seeing that kind of content, our safe-search filter has you covered.
Understanding the Importance of Community
In addition, our latest update places a priority on our community. We've added new features to help you connect with other filmmakers and exchange ideas. Our new "Sets" feature allows you to create a collection of your favorite frames. You can share your collections with the entire Frame Set community or keep them private and share them with specific members of the Frame Set community.
Looking To The Future
We couldn't be more excited about our new update. We hope to help thousands of filmmakers find inspiration for their projects. If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at help@frameset.app. Thank you for being part of the Frame Set community!
Sincerely, Caleb Farmer, Founder & CEO.
